Will the N97 be the iphone killer? In this review we will try to find out.
Nokia has recently announced the Nokia N97, the new flagship of the Nseries line. The N97 brings a full QWERTY keyboard to the Nseries for the first time. The n97 also includes a 3.5" TFT touch screen with 640x360 resolution (although not multi-touch), a fully customizable home screen and 32GB memory with a microSDHC expansion slot that will allow additional 32GB once it's released.
The n97 also introduces a built in GPS, a 5 megapixel camera with 30fps 16:9 video capture, integration with social networks like facebook and myspace into the home screen, 3.5mm headphones jack and will come with the n-gage application. The price, before taxes, will stand on 550 euro.
That all sounds very impressive, but will it be enough to stand against the mighty iphone?
Not so sure....

The iphone has changed a lot since it was first released. Each software update delivered new features, the major one being the Apple appstore, that recently announced over 300 million apps sold since it was opened on July 2008 until December 2008! The appstore currently has over 10,000 application & games. Thanks to the appstore and the great Cydia application, that deliveres 3rd party application, you will never be bored with your iphone. From games to themes, you can download and change anything in the iphone, and the n97 doesn't have this.
also, the iphone has a sleek and elegant look, and it has a multi touch screen, things that the n97 is missing.
So will the n97 be the iphone killer? Only time will tell - the n97 does have a lot of features that the iphone doesn't, but we think that the iphone won't be abandoned to fast.
